Pharmacy Conference 2016

The Pharmacy Conference 2016 was successfully held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai on 27th and 28th February. It was so crowded!

A wide range of interesting topics were covered in the lecture sessions:
– Dyslipidaemia
– Emerging Therapeutics
– Infectious Disease and Practice
– Public Private Interface
– Advanced Practice
– Practice Research
– Drug Formulation and Pharmacokinetics
– Biosimilars

I personally found the lecture “Medical 3D Printing to Individualize Dosing: The New Era that may Truly Enhance Adherence” given by Dr. Simon Gaisford from University College London was particularly interesting. I just knew that an 3D printed drug was recently approved by FDA!

See the details of lectures here.

There were around 20 promotional booths of pharmaceutical firms, e.g. GSK, Actavis, Gilead, Jacobson Medical, Prenetics etc… The latest drug product information was provided to the visitors and well-explained by the professionals.

In Day 2 afternoon, a panel discussion on the establishment of Pharmacy Council was held. To know more (as a Hong Kong pharmacist, you should!), you could download the presentations here.

Remember to reserve your 2017 ticket early next year!

Here I have shared some photos from the last year Pharmacy Conference.
